Well, we are currently at 30 weeks and doc says the home stretch. Now is time to make some serious decisions due to unexpected health concerns with me and the baby.

Although I was originally OKed for a VBAC, it seems that the baby’s heart rate is now in question. All this time it’s been steady between 155 and 160 beats per minute, but when I went in for some follow ups, it was down to 145. Good, but not great. After having me on a fetal monitor for 20 minutes, it still didn’t improve. Although movement is great, they are worried that the extra fluid I have is making it difficult for the baby.

Overall, I need to decided if I still want to go VBAC or schedule a C-Section. My OB is Ok with whatever I choose and gave me some great ups and downs for both. I’m sure we all know the positives and negatives of a scheduled C-Section, but she gave me the odds of my VBAC. Under ideal circumstances, I would have no problems, but as we’ve followed all along, my circumstances are somewhat less than ideal.

He said, most likely, due to blood pressure rising at the end of my preganancy, they would suggest an induced labor. I said NO to that, so he said, if my blood pressure goes up, it’s straight to a C-Section. They don’t want to risk anything with the baby or my health.

If we wait and my blood pressure stays good, there’s still a 1% chance my uterus may rupture. I also have to keep in mind that with the baby’s heartbeat an issue now, any stress it may be under could be harmful.

SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT!!!

So, for now, I have another appointment for next week for a monitor and ultrasound of fluid and we’ll go from there.

An adult sci-fi novel that had action, suspence and romance! I throughly enjoyed this novel. A little over 700 pages of aliens that invade earth earth and take over our bodies. It was interesting to know how the aliens work and take over our bodies, and how we fight back to lead to an unexpected compromise with some ‘souls.’

Worth reading!
